Our baby boy is getting so big...

Rolling along...

Wendy contacted us on April 19th to let us know we received our Civil Court ruling... a HUGE step in our quest to bring baby William home! We were not expecting to hear about our ruling for at least a couple more weeks so we were/are beyond thrilled! The fact that things are actually moving FASTER than we had anticipated is just amazing... what a drastic, welcome change from the Russian process! The next step is receiving our Final Ruling and then it's time to travel!!!! We are hoping to hear in the next 6 weeks or so that we made it through court and at that point, William is legally ours! Typically, travel is granted about 2 weeks after the Final Ruling so if all goes well, we could be on our way to Taiwan in June! Needless to say, it's been a busy week since we received our wonderful news. Marc has been in Germany for the past week and a half and finally comes home on Friday. I just finished up this last round of paperwork but have to wait for Marc to sign and notarize everything. We moved Slava into his new room this past week but we are still waiting for his furniture to be delivered... should be here this week. I have been busy getting William's room ready for his arrival. Next on the to do list is sorting through all the clothes we have and determining what we still need. We were sent a long list of items that are needed for travel so time to start working on that, as well. It is this point in the process where things start to feel very real... and it gets so exciting. This process, once again, has taken us on a rollercoaster of emotions but it has been worth every, single second of the stress, fear, sorrow and anxiety. Marc thinks I am crazy but it honestly makes me sad to think this is the last time we will adopt. The process is absolutely maddening but the end result is pure joy. Adoption has changed our lives forevere... and made our lives complete.
