Tonight, I will hug my boys a little longer... and tell them a couple more times how very much I love them. My heart is breaking for all the lives lost today and the families that are now left to deal with such unimaginable grief. May the memories of these children and adults be ETERNAL.

My Baby Boy

This time of year will forever remind me of our travels to Vladivostok to bring our sweet Slava home. We left Christmas Eve 2009 and returned home January 23rd, 2010. It was a long, stressful, difficult trip ... I like to refer to it as "the longest labor in history!"  However, I would do it all a thousand times over as it resulted in becoming parents - for the first time - to the sweetest, funniest, craziest little boy in the universe. I know my Mom was looking over us during that trip - especially Slava who was very ill. One day we will go back... when Slava is ready... to show him where he was born. I pray each and every day that he is as proud of his heritage as we are ... Russia will always own an enormous piece of my heart.
I love you, Slavabear... and I am so thankful you are my son.
